The mother of Arsenal star Frida Maanum has revealed her "nightmare" at watching her daughter collapse unchallenged during Sunday's Conti Cup final.

The Norwegian midfielder went down on the ground off the ball and under no challenge during Arsenal's Conti Cup final clash against Chelsea on Sunday. The 24-year-old required oxygen after the fall, however, shortly after the incident, the club confirmed that the player was in a much better condition and would be monitored by the club's medical team.

Manuum's mother Liz-Heidi Leonhardsen, who was not present at Molineux during the match, revealed that she was watching the final from Norway and went through a nightmare after seeing her daughter's horrific fall.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
Speaking to Norwegian media outlet , Manuum's mother said, "It was a nightmare to follow the whole thing on TV without knowing what was going on. Fortunately, I received a relatively quick update from a friend of hers who was at the match – Frida is doing well now and she is being followed up by the medical team at Arsenal."
