A late Thierry Henry equaliser helped the New York Red Bulls salvage a 2-2 draw at home to Dallas in Major League Soccer on Saturday.Hosts New York went ahead through Juan Agudelo’s strike six minutes before half-time at the Red Bull Arena.
A second-half brace from Marvin Chavez saw Dallas level and then take the lead, before Henry levelled with five minutes remaining.
And the Red Bulls had to come from behind with 10 men after Dane Richards was shown a red card in the 80th minute.
New England also snatched a draw late in their match away to Colorado.
The visitors had led through a goal from former Derby County and Hamburg man Benny Feilhaber.
They fell a goal behind and went a man down when Chris Tierney conceded a penalty on 65 minutes and received a straight red, with Caleb Folan converting the spot kick.
Kosuke Kimura looked to have won it when he struck to make it 2-1 to Colorado with eight minutes left.
But a 90th-minute penalty from Shalrie Joseph meant the away side rescued a point from the match.
In other matches, Sporting Kansas City ran out 4-2 winners in their match at home to Toronto.
Kei Kamara and Omar Bravo both netted doubles for Kansas, with Danny Koevermans and Ryan Johnson on target in the defeat for the Canadian visitors.
The Columbus Crew snuck a 1-0 win at home to the Portland Timbers, thanks to Mamadou Danso’s own goal with 11 left in the match.
And Real Salt Lake dispatched San Jose 4-0 at home.
Alvaro Saborio bagged two goals, the first from the penalty spot, before Kyle Beckerman and Jamison Olave completed the scoring.
