New England Revolution have started the new term in a much more convincing fashion after a disappointing MLS season last time around.
Bruce Arena's team began with back-to-back victories before suffering their lone loss so far, albeit a 4-0 hammering away at Los Angeles FC to partially halt their momentum.
In their five league games so far, Arena's team has amassed 12 points through four victories. The Revs, though, promptly recovered with two victories.
They are going up against a New York City team that hasn't been as consistent as their hosts so far and will be looking to get their season off to a good start.
They had a sluggish start to the 2023 term under Nick Cushing's new leadership. After suffering their second MLS loss of the year, New York City now has seven points from their first five games.
They will undoubtedly want to start putting together a run of consistency as soon as possible to ensure that they remain at the top of the Conference for the duration of the season.
Still, they will have a difficult task on the road against the league leaders on Saturday.
