Sky Sports recently reported that German club Borussia Monchengladbach are keen on signing West Ham United defender Reece Oxford on a permanent basis in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 19-year-old has already spent two loan spells with the Bundesliga club but is currently in east London with the Hammers, though he is yet to feature for Manuel Pellegrini’s side this season.

Since becoming the Irons’ youngest ever player in 2015, Oxford has failed to kick on and progress as expected. Another stint away from the London Stadium, where he can enjoy regular football, would be a wise move, but the Hammers shouldn’t yet give up on the youngster entirely by sanctioning his permanent departure.
Whilst the England under-20 international is currently struggling, he remains a hugely talented prospect with plenty of time on his side.
Plenty of Hammers fans appear to agree that Oxford could still have something to offer their club. Of those who took part in our poll, 69% voted against allowing the teenager to leave on a permanent basis in January. See the full results below.
