Former West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino swore at photographers when he arrived at court on Wednesday, and Baggies fans were quick to react to the incident on Twitter.
The 25-year-old is facing a trial for drink-driving and has been handed unconditional bail until May 15, and it remains to be seen whether he will feature for current club Stoke City in the coming weeks and months given he has failed to make the 18-man squad for their previous three Championship fixtures.
The west Midlands outfit received a £12m fee for the attacker from the Potters during the 2017 transfer window, but he has hardly made a positive impact after netting just five goals in 56 appearances in all competitions.
It is the latest controversy in the Burundi international’s career, and despite looking to have the world at his feet when he started out at The Hawthorns it is a completely different story now.
West Brom supporters took to social media to have their say on the incident involving Berahino, and while one said the “most useful thing Pulis ever did was get rid of him”, another said “glad he’s well out of our club”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
