Tuesday marked the third-anniversary of Jason Puncheon’s season-saving goal against Norwich in 2016 – the number 42 picked the ball up on the edge of the box and curled a left-footed strike beyond a helpless John Ruddy.
Puncheon’s strike was the only goal of the game, finally giving the Eagles their first win of 2016 – a result which would be the platform for the then-strugglers to fight to safety in the Premier League.
The midfielder may have been crucial on that day in saving his side from relegation but was unable to help Huddersfield – his current team – from being relegated by the Eagles at the end of March.

Currently on loan with the Terriers, the former Palace captain may have played his last game in red and blue as his contract at Selhurst Park expires in the summer.
